Pioneer Park is a multi-use campus in Gurgaon, a city frequently referred to as the “Silicon Valley” of the New Delhi region. SOM’s master plan for the campus calls for buildings of varying scales, retail and entertainment space, and a large central park — all of which will make Pioneer Park a vibrant center of urban life.
The development aims to be at the forefront of sustainable planning and design. It will support off-grid facilities, induce cooling breeze effects for thermal comfort, provide shade for public spaces, and use local materials for buildings and landscapes. Because the Gurgaon region lacks sufficient freshwater for the residential population, potable water use at Pioneer Park will be reduced through water reclamation, re-use, and recycling strategies.
