Tianjin CTF Finance Center was honored with the Tall/Slender Structure award at the 2021 Awards Ceremony by the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE). The UK-based program was established in 1968 and is regarded as one of the world’s leading institutions recognizing projects in structural engineering excellence.
The design of the Tianjin CTF Finance Center is a synthesis of architectural, structural, and functional requirements. The project has a striking silhouette, defined by a series of curves that converge at an open-lattice crown.
The judge commented on the winning project, “This 530m tall tower is a striking fusion of structural and architectural expression. It boasts an innovative structural system and excellent optimization of form.”
