The new federal courthouse in Los Angeles is not only a bold work of civic architecture – it’s a case study in what an ambitious design-build project team can achieve. DBIA’s Western Pacific Region Chapter recently designated the courthouse its Project of the Year, citing it as an example of interdisciplinary teamwork, innovation and problem solving. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) and Clark Construction Group led the design-build team that delivered the project for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).
