The Denver Union Station intermodal hub is the centerpiece of the expansion program of the Regional Transportation District FasTracks lines to Denver. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the intercity bus terminal and has also developed the master plan for the surrounding area. The historical site of Union Station in Denver is a Beaux Arts masterpiece situated on the edge of the central business district of the city. The designers were commissioned to expand and transform the station into a major hub of regional transport.
