On Tuesday, October 20th, Andrew Obendorf, SOM Associate Director, will join other architects whose work appears in the “BOLD: Alternative Scenarios for Chicago” exhibition, which was organized by Iker Gil of MAS Studio as part of the Chicago Architecture Biennial. The panel will address how the exhibition’s projects operate within the constraints and realities of Chicago to shape and rethink the city’s future. SOM and CAMESgibson collaborated on a proposal for a new residential high-rise building type. Called The High Life, the project offers novel domestic arrangements and the broadest range of housing options in the urban tower.
“BOLD: Alternative Solutions for Chicago” will run for the entirety of the Chicago Architecture Biennial through January 3, 2016.
