This holiday, members of the SOM team volunteered at St. James Cathedral in Chicago, preparing and serving meals for those in need. As a part of the Cathedral’s “Just Meals” program, the group toured the institution and learned about the organization’s mission and its initiatives, which are geared towards supporting homeless members of the local community. Following the tour, they helped Cathedral staff decorate the center’s main hall, and cook and serve meals for more than 100 individuals.
A regular program run by the Cathedral, local volunteer groups can participate in an array of opportunities for the city’s homeless at St. James Cathedral throughout the year. SOM is proud to support local organizations through volunteering led by staff in our offices around the world.
