Scott Duncan Participates in Design Studio Jury at Harvard Graduate School of Design

In March, SOM Design Partner Scott Duncan participated in a design studio jury for a course led by architect Moshe Safdie at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. The semester-long studio challenged students to imagine mixed-use design options for The 78, a 62-acre site on the southern edge of Downtown Chicago.

As a part of the course, the studio traveled to Chicago and participated in an office tour and presentation of The 78 at SOM with Duncan and the design team. The studio also participated in a site visit with leaders from Related Midwest, the project’s developer.

Scott Duncan is a partner in SOM’s Chicago office, where he leads the design of high-rise and large scale mixed-use projects in Chicago and around the world. Duncan’s current work in Chicago includes 400 Lake Shore Drive, the 78, and SOM’s proposal for the new O’Hare Global Terminal.
