Rebecca Delaney Recognized on Building Design+Construction’s 40 Under 40 List

Rebecca Delaney, Associate Director of SOM’s Sustainable Engineering Studio, has been included on Building Design+Construction’s 40 Under 40 list. Every year, Building Design+Construction awards AEC leaders from around the world who are positively impacting their businesses, the industry, and their communities at large.

Delaney’s team impacts 90 million square feet per year, saving 50% of energy costs and eliminating 600,000 tons a year of greenhouse gas emissions. She’s currently designing twin towers in Taipei, pursuing LEED and WELL Platinum certification, and applying post-COVID design measures to her work and research.

Delaney serves on the Board of Directors for Nashville Civic Design Center, was a member of the Nashville Young Leaders Council in 2019, and has engaged with more than 200 engineering students throughout her career as a volunteer in the ACE Mentor Program.
