SOM Associate and Mechanical Team Leader Rebecca Delaney has been named to the 2016 40 Under 40 Awards by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine. Leading projects from SOM’s Chicago office, Delaney works closely with design teams to create and implement vital sustainable engineering schemes. In addition to her work with SOM, Delaney volunteers with Engineers Without Borders, the ACE Mentor Program, and the Penn State College of Engineering Young Alumni Board.
Now in its ninth year, the 40 Under 40 Awards recognize outstanding talent across an array of disciplines within engineering. Winners are selected for their dedication to the profession, a penchant for leadership, the drive to make a difference in their industries and communities, and determination to excel.
Delaney has been previously recognized by her alma mater, Pennsylvania State University, with the 2015 AE Early Impact and Alumni Achievement Awards, and was the recipient of the 2014 ASHRAE New Face of Engineering award.
