On Friday, October 16th, City Design Practice Director Peter Kindel will give a keynote presentation titled “Bio: Ecological Principles in Buildings & Cities” during the 2020 Virtual Green Building Festival. The annual event provides a forum for education and research focused on ecological approaches to building and city planning.
During his talk, Kindel will present the concepts of biomorphic urbanism, which formed the foundation of SOM’s Future City collaboration with National Geographic. He will discuss how those concepts can be applied to cities around the world to address the ecological impacts of urbanization and resource consumption.
