No matter if they are sustainable, intelligent or smart, skyscrapers represent, for the green construction industry and smart cities, the challenge of the future. A challenge taken up by the Pertamina Energy Tower in Jakarta (Indonesia): once completed in 2020, it will be the first self-sufficient skyscraper ever built in the world and it will remind of the great effort that Indonesia has made towards sustainable development. 530 meters and 99-stories high, it will host the headquarters of the national energy and gas company, Pertamina.
