In 2017, the Chicago Picasso sculpture turned 50. In honor of the milestone, numerous events were held across the city. In the discussion, Fred Lo, a retired SOM architect who worked on the Picasso Sculpture project team, shares his experiences. Joining Lo on the panel are: Patricia Balton Stratton, a leading art historian and the author of The Chicago Picasso: A Point of Departure?; sculptor Richard Hunt; Lynne Warren, Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and architectural historian David Van Zanten. John W. McCarter, Jr., President Emeritus of The Field Museum, moderates the panel.
