In this week’s edition of Property Week magazine, Principal Phil Obayda writes about how architects and designers can influence construction productivity.
With 70 percent of projects failing to meet construction budgets and 61 percent failing to meet construction programs, Obayda advocates for designers using their unique positions to eliminate unnecessary complexity when designing and to consider innovative new ways of building.
This follows his involvement at last month’s Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) conference that explored designing for productivity. In conjunction with the event, he authored a post for the IStructE’s blog.
