Moynihan Train Hall was recently featured on the cover of Nikkei Architecture, the largest architecture and business magazine in Japan. For its fall issue focused on New York City projects, Partner Colin Koop discusses how Moynihan Train Hall serves as a model for transit and adaptive reuse: “We wanted people to feel it is as a new space, while also understanding they are in a historic building.” The magazine also spotlights a host of other SOM projects—from the master plan, architecture, and structural engineering of Manhattan West to the 21st-century restoration of Lever House.
