New Airport Police Facility Breaks Ground at LAX

Ground has been broken on the new Airport Police Facility (APF) at the Los Angeles International Airport. Scheduled for completion in 2021, the 160,000-square-foot building will improve the coordination of resources for essential public safety services by consolidating eight separate operational units under one roof. The APF will be one of the largest police facilities in California.

The state-of-the-art facility will be sited on a 12-acre development at the northeast corner of Westchester Parkway and Loyola Boulevard. It will include a headquarters building, practice range, multipurpose room, parking garage, and an exterior training courtyard. It will also feature a landscaped paseo along Westchester Parkway.
