Moon Village, SOM and ESA’s concept for a permanent and sustainable human settlement on the moon, is featured in a new exhibit at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Madrid, Spain. Entitled The Great Imagination: Histories of the Future, the exhibition examines visions of the future from the 18th century to the present day. It opened on November 3 and will run until April 17, 2022.
Moon Village is also the subject of a major installation, Life Beyond Earth, at this year’s Venice Biennale. An award-winning short film about the project that was produced for the biennale is included in The Great Imagination, where it is displayed alongside a physical model of a habitable module proposed for the Moon Village.
More information about The Great Imagination, as well as a link to make a free reservation to attend, can be found on the Espacio Fundación Telefónica website.
