Monterey Planning Commission Approves Permits for Conference Center Redesign

In the last bit of business before the holidays, the Monterey Planning Commission approved three permits yesterday for the redesign of the city’s conference center, which was first unveiled to the public Dec. 16.

The conference center’s makeover has long been a priority of the city’s business community, who view the current building—built in 1977—as unsightly and out of step with the times.
