Manhattan Loft Gardens has won a 2021 RIBA London Award. The tower, which combines a five-star hotel, The Stratford, with apartments, won in the East London category. For the 42-story tower, SOM’s designers envisioned a vertical community that cultivated community and inspire gathering. Manhattan Loft Gardens’ double-cantilevered form allows for the incorporation of three sky gardens for residents to overlook the London skyline.
