Keith Boswell, Technical Partner with SOM’s San Francisco office, has been named to the Facade Tectonics Institute (FTI) College of Fellows. This is the highest award bestowed by the institute, and individuals selected as Fellows are considered lifetime members.
At SOM, Boswell orchestrates and oversees detailed design and construction documentation for all projects in the San Francisco office. He leads the Building Enclosure Studio, which is dedicated to developing system designs, details, engineering and documentation for exterior enclosures.? Boswell is the author of the book Exterior Building Enclosures: Design Process and Composition for Innovative Facades.??
Facade Tectonics Institute is an international member organization based at the University of Southern California School of Architecture?. Its mission is to carry out progressive and broad-based research in building facade technology. FTI seeks to foster dialogue and to catalyze collaborative research activity by forging partnerships among the building industry, government, academia, building owners, and the design and engineering professions.
