The Innovation Partnership Building has won an Award of Merit in the Higher Education/Research category in Engineering-News Record New England’s 2019 Best Projects awards. The annual program honors projects that solve complex challenges, enhance communities, and demonstrate design excellence.
The Innovation Partnership Building is the centerpiece of the master plan for the University of Connecticut’s Technology Park. Envisioned as a “machine in the garden,” the building sits in striking contrast with its bucolic setting. Inside, it is organized into three primary zones: tenant wet and dry labs; a high-bay manufacturing and additive materials wing; and an advanced characterization wing.
