The data feedback loop extends beyond the project, as well. Firms like Skidmore, Owings & Merrill are creating databases of past project information and geometries for use on future work. If a particular design component worked well on a project, the firm will be able to share that information for use on other designs. This approach also minimizes rework, allowing designers to focus their time on solving new challenges.
