SOM has been named one of the top 10 companies in architecture by Fast Company Magazine in its 2017 World’s Most Innovative Companies ranking. The magazine cited SOM’s efforts to expand the range of materials available to architects. Recently, Fast Company reported on SOM’s research and testing of building systems for sustainable timber high-rises.
Most Innovative Companies is one of Fast Company’s most significant and highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year. To create the 2017 list, Fast Company surveyed thousands of companies to identify the most recognizable innovations of the year and trace the impact of those initiatives on business, industry, and the larger culture.
