Design Partner Paul Danna Featured in Bunker Hill Innovator Series

Paul Danna, a design partner in SOM’s Los Angeles office, is featured in Brookfield Properties’ Bunker Hill Innovator Series. The three-part short film collection highlights pioneering leaders who add value to the Bunker Hill community, located in the cultural center of Downtown Los Angeles.

Danna concludes the series, speaking on collaboration and its integral role at SOM. He explains how the firm began as a collaboration between two architects and a structural engineer, and provides a brief summary of his background and design philosophy.

“This idea of collaborating, of bringing multiple disciplines together to do something that no one might be able to do on their own, is something that society is demanding,” said Danna.

The series centers on interviews detailing each person’s background and experience, merged with original animation sequences. Also featured are Otium owner and chef Timothy Hollingsworth and Convene co-founder and CEO Ryan Simonetti, the former speaking on persistence and the latter on relentlessness.

SOM’s L.A. office is located in the Wells Fargo Center, which is owned and operated by Brookfield Properties. The firm completed the design of the original building in 1983, as well as the recent transformation of the ground floor atrium into halO—a vibrant gathering place to be filled with curated food and beverage experiences and amenities for the surrounding community, currently under construction.
