Derek Moore to Present at Next Generation World Airports Conference

On March 1, 2017, SOM Director Derek A.R. Moore will present at the Next Generation World Airports Conference in Geelong, Australia. There, he will speak about the issue of accelerating change in equipment, functionality, uses, and expectations for airport terminals. His presentation will cover the challenges that architects face in designing terminals that will be adaptable to change, with reference to key SOM projects including the Hajj Terminal at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport and Terminal 2 at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

Recognized as an industry expert, Moore specializes in the strategic planning, architectural layout, and spatial design of airport terminals and other transportation facilities. Over the course of his career, Moore has played a major role in the planning and execution of new terminals at all three New York City area airports, as well as projects and studies for airports in Europe, the Middle East, India, Hong Kong, China, Southeast Asia, and New Zealand.
