Chengdu Tianfu International Airport City Wins Green Good Award

The Chengdu Tianfu International Airport City Master Plan has received a 2019 Green Good Design Award for Urban Planning/Landscape Architecture from The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, and The Chicago Athenaeum. The international competition honors projects that have made significant contributions through their approach to healthy and sustainable design.

Completed in 2017, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport City represents a comprehensive, 21st-century vision for sustainable urban growth. It transforms former agricultural land into a vibrant development that promotes environment protection, urban livability, and economic opportunity. Among its numerous environmental achievements, the plan minimizes the development’s environmental impact, protects against flooding, improves air quality, and includes forest preservation areas.
