SOM Partner Carrie Byles was recently selected for induction into the Hall of Fame at the 2013 Northern California Real Estate Women of Influence Awards. The program was establish to recognize women across the spectrum of disciplines in the real estate industry. Byles has crafted a diverse path during her career at SOM, starting in the studios, transitioning to digital design and, eventually, project management and leadership.
In her own experience, the increasing number of women in leadership positions on the client side has had a ripple effect on the industry. Clients look for design teams that listen to their needs and are able to understand their visions while reflecting their own organizations’ diversity.
