On Tuesday, September 24th, Aaron Mazeika, Associate Director of Structural Engineering, will give a lecture titled “Environmentally Conscious Structural Design of High-Rise Towers” at ETH Zurich in Switzerland. Mazeika will present the same lecture at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Lithuania the following week, on Monday, September 30th.
In his lecture, Mazeika will discuss the responsibility of designers in bringing positive change to the built environment. Mazeika will offer insights on the opportunities and the techniques that structural engineers can employ to design in a more environmentally conscious manner. Topics will include optimization techniques and innovations in structural systems and material use.
