Craig Hartman to Join Panel at San Francisco Mechanics’ Institute

On Thursday, June 29th, SOM Senior Consulting Design Partner Craig W. Hartman will speak at an event titled “Transforming SF: The Future of the City.” Hosted by the Mechanics’ Institute, a cultural center founded in 1854, the event will include a panel discussion focused on recent and current development projects throughout San Francisco, such as those seen in the Mission, Dogpatch, and Mission Bay neighborhoods. Hartman and other panelists will share insight on the impact such projects have on the urban landscape, transportation portals, and demographics throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Hartman will be joined by John King, Urban Design Critic of the San Francisco Chronicle; and Marsha Maytum from Leddy, Maytum, Stacy Architects. Jennifer Jones, Executive Director of the San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Architects, will moderate the panel. Although the event is sold out, it will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Mechanics’ Institute.
