Eric Keune has joined the board of directors of Docomomo US, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of Modernist architecture, landscape, and design. A Chicago-based design director at SOM, Keune is also an architectural historian and author. A student and teacher of Modernism, Keune focuses his design work on integrating contemporary visual arts and technology within the modernist idiom.
“As a US Board member I look forward to extending the organization’s reach nationally and internationally in conjunction with Docomomo International,” Keune says of his new role. “A lasting contributor to our shared cultural heritage, Modern Architecture is frequently of insufficient age to find itself with strong advocates.”
