On Wednesday, April 18th, SOM Associate Daniel Silva will deliver a talk at the University of Minho as part of a lecture series marking the 20-year anniversary of the school’s Bachelor of Architecture program. The lecture series, Aula Aberta Alumni, aims to give students insight into professional life in the industry through the experience of architects. Silva graduated from the university in 2002.
In his presentation, Silva will describe his experiences as a contributing designer on several recent projects, including JTI Headquarters, the United Nations Office in Geneva, and 100 Leadenhall Street in London.
Describing his goals for the coming event, Silva said, “I hope I can give current students insight into life beyond their studies, and explain how the design process works and develops with real-world constraints.”
