SOM’s program for the Manulife Financial headquarters utilizes today’s most advanced architecture, structural and MEP systems and objectives to create a distinctive office building that is also among the world’s most sustainable buildings of its kind. From the 10,000 square-foot green roof to the double-skin curtain wall and high-efficiency mechanical systems, the Manulife building breaks new ground in the reduction of heating, cooling, and lighting costs, and the creation of a truly sustainable and employee-friendly 21st Century office building.
